If Victory means an average civilian kill rate of 18(women, children and elderly) as compared to negligible kills of shabab in their entire time in the war zone.
TFG+Amisom kill 100 times more civilians then Shabab.
TFG+Amisom control less then 1/100th of the country.
Shabab has terminated more TFg+Amisom then they have lost to them.
Who is winning?

All 700 were somalis, all were on their home soil, all were muslims, all were youth. Now had the TFG claimed to have harmed the leadership of shabab or ina godane then i might have turned a blind eye. The Dead were all on home turf and the people who killed them were all invaders working for greedy somalis representing their own interests not that of the nation.
Who is winning again?

The so-called final battle of Al Shabab during Ramadan gave them a huge loss, it is wat caused the problems btw Godane and Abu Mansur.
Re: Somalia: Amisom Claims Victory Over 2010 Mogadishu Battl
How are you certain that all 700 were Somali? How do you know some of them weren't Afghans or Pakis looking for the thrill of jihad at the expense of the Somali nation? Also, Al Shabab and its armed teenagers were the ones who launched the offensive against AMISOM. You cannot blame AMISOM for defending the internationally recognized and legitimate government of Somalia from a rogue organization.Cirwaaq wrote: Enemy?

I am sorry that these boys are being coerced into war by Al Shabab. Had they had an opportunity at peace, education, and prosperity they would have never chosen this path. I wish the leaders of Al Shabab a horrible death, and an even worse judgment for causing all this mischief and mayhem.

Amisom works for a criminal organisation called the TFG Transit-Fraudulent-Gang...union wrote:How are you certain that all 700 were Somali? Re: Somalia: Amisom Claims Victory Over 2010 Mogadishu Battl
What do you mean by winning? AMISOM's mandate is to secure the vital installations in Mogadishu from being overrun by the rebels. The airport, the sea port, and the presidential residence are all under AMISOM control. So they are "winning" in that regard. But a true victory won't be won until Ina shaydaan's head is on a pike and Al Shabab's militia is either dead and rotting or fleeing back to their villages like good little boys.
