How is getting married half your deen? In what way does it make you go to heaven? It might be sunnah but how is it half, 50%, 0.5 of 1, how is it mathematically half of your faith? That is a statement that is uttely shockingly used as if it makes sense.

Because, for most people, it stops them from straying and getting involved in forbidden acts.

I could write a thesis on why that makes no sense but I am sure it's unnecessary since everyone who cares to admit it knows that already.

The Hadith just shows the importance of marriage... and if it so happens that a Muslim dies single/divorce one doesn't lose half the deen. The important thing is being a righteous Muslims.

In Islam marriage is important precisely because it keeps one away from zina and other immoralities.

The tricky part is finding that pious spouse... Sadly most of us Muslims nowadays get married for all the wrong reasons which is probably why the divorce rate in our generation is pretty high.

I wouldnt say being a father is the sole reason I wanna get married, no pressure from family and certainly not because im horny, now days people are fawking regardless anyhow, so I voted for Love - I've met the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.
