UN especial representative to Somalia, ambassador Augustine Mhiga has arrived in Somali’s capital Mogadishu and had talks with Somali president Sharif Sh. Ahmed and prime minister Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, reports said.
UN especial envoy to Somalia, Augustine Mhiga’s arrival in Mogadishu was unexpected one and he had met with President Sheikh Sharif Sh. Ahmed and his Prime Minister Mohamed Abdulahi Farmajo at the presidential palace mid today.
Join press conference held by Somali premier, Mr. Farmajo and ambassador Augstine told there meeting was focused on the current situation of Somalia and how the Islamist militias of Al-shabab be removed from the country.
This is the second time; Augustine Mahiga arrives in Mogadishu secretly and had talks with government officials as though security situation is not reliable.
