Something every Somali should know even the goverment!

The media in the world doesnt speak much about this. But there is a Island called diego garcia near seychelles. This Island was bought off the Seychelles to the British goverment in 1966. But remember the seychelles didnt gain indipendence from the british until in the late seventies. So the british goverment bought this Island and made it to a military base. They built runways and facilities, with mainly Chinese,Somali and seychelle´s workers. You might ask, what happened to the people living in this Island?

They got Evicted by the british goverment and still to this day they are appeling for the UN to be relocated back to their home. Wikileaks revealed last year that the US goverment and British goverment were planning to deny any inhabitans ever living there.

But here is the juicy dangerous part. The island Diego garcia has been used by the American goverment as a military base since the seveenties. Guantenamo prisoners tortured there has been mentioned in 2003 by a US military official. This Island is so off the map in the media, that very little educated people know about it.

This military base was also supposed to surveillance possible Somali/Soviet naval build up in the seventies and eighties.

I plan to check out this place either next year or the end of this year. I will find out if there is any travel agencys in my city headed there
