You know voltage i had a moroccon colleague he was a berber and i used to have some somali song as my ringtone i think it was qaboojisye or something and he was like that just sounds like berber music. waliba he said it sound like algerian Berber music he was moroccon berber

What is it with somalis? It's like they've just discovered the world or something. Every day there's a stupid thread like "Look at hindi they have henna too like us", "Look at these habashis don't they sound somali" etc. Sh!t is getting embarrassing ee naga yareeya.

Somali is an Afro-Asiatic language like Berber and Somalis were called Black Berbers by Ibn Batuta himself (Muslim Berber from Morocco) after seeing the linguistic and cultural similarities. I don't think this is similar to henna or whatever childish stuff you are talking about.

Naaa bro, somali music is unique in its own way and cannot be compared to any other east african music, u might find similar type of instrumental use and sound but somalis have a superior way of presenting music, specially kaban tracks
