Honestly I get jealous when I see snetters exchanging and quoting various gabays. It's sad because my father is known for his gabays and one of my great uncles is a gabay icon but I can barely understand the content even though I read and right pretty well in af somali. Any tips on how I cam improve my comprehension level?

pretty well is not gonna cut it, its not just about learning gabay, its something that people grow up with it, your father and uncles like you said probably spent most of their life back home while you probably grew up in qurbaha .. im sorry bro but u wont be able to undrstand or even become a notable gabay maker unless u go back and atleast spend good few starting fromt he basics.

I understood exactly what he said in the video, but it's the written ones I see people quoting around here that's pretty hard to understand.
