Salaam, Basically I’m trying to develop a business website which incorporates a members (investors) only area. I would be able to develop a basic website but not really sure how I would incorporate a members only area. Any ideas anyone?? The idea is that each investor will have login details and their own dedicated page with info relevant to them. How complex will this be?

exec, I assume your site will be on a shared host (you and a bunch of other ppl will share one sever) with no root access (basic account). What you need is to make sure your web hosting account is either php or asp enabled. Then it will be very easy to add members only area to your site. I think basic godaddy accounts come with so many features and ready to use applications.

afissone, plain vanilla static pages - hope that explains. Mysql ain't no prerequisite for what he is trying to do. The first thing he needs to do is to make sure he can run either php or asp scripts on his account. With right permissions, he can even get the job done with no scripting at all but I don't wanna confuse him.

Re: web design experts
You could go this three ways, the easy way is to pay a professional or a semi-professional to help you build a website since this is suppose to be a business website, you can't take chances.
the second option is build those easy, free websites, they would be a full website, but they will come under another domain.
the hard way, and the most rewarding way is to by yourself, there are programs in your computer that will help you build a website, step by step. you have to pick and buy a domain name, register it and design your webpage either using HTML or other programs. you basically make 4-5 pages (About us, Home, photos, feedback) etc.
