Its not only that, i think something else has changed in our culture. Its seen as something wrong to see people dancing about like that these days:down:

:up: Exactly. I'd only learned recently that my mother used take my older brother to sufi siyaaros when he was a child. :shock: So much has changed, mashallah.

This has nothing to do with gaining knowledge of the deen or anything else for that matter, people then were more worldly, curious, knowledgeable and spiritual (as opposed to this phoney religiosity of today in Somalia). If you go to Somalia and actually speak to people you'll see this, religious education by rote is not an education.
The war changed people for the worse, people have been forced to cling to the image of something they know is incorruptible, and turn their backs on everything that made us great, this is why Somalia will remain in the shitter.
