
Acting prime minister and minister of defense affairs of Somalis Transitional Federal Government, A/hakim Mohamud Haji Fiqi has threatened that his government would remove Al-shabab fighters from the country after he paid a short visit to the frontlines, reports said.
Minister of defense affairs of the T.F.G. Mr. A/hakin Mohamud, together with state minister of defense, Abdi Mohamed Abtidon visited front lines where government forces were in north of the capital Mogadishu today on Friday.
Mr. A/hakin Mohamud Haji met with government officials at the war zones in Bondhere, A/asis and Shangani and congratulated on their role of defending the nation of what he called foreign criminals continuing wars in Somalia, reports said.
Speaking to Radio Mogadishu, the defense minister told his government paid the salary of the army of December and it would pay others soon.
“We will clear Al-shabab and other foreign fighter who are criminals and continuing wars against Somali’s people, Haji said.
A day earlier, Somali prime minister told his government troops of 80,000 are prepared for war against Shabab and Al-qaeda.
