Ahlu Sunna calls aid agencies to start urgent help

The Islamic administration of Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a in Abudwak district of Galgudud region in central Somalia have called for the aid agencies to help quickly to the people affected the droughts in parts of the region, official said on Friday.

Sheik Hassan Abdi, the commissioner of Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a for Abudwaq district told reporters that there had been hard life, lack of food and water in several villages in the region and were in need of quick help.

The commissioner said that the aid agencies were required to respect the appeals of the weak people suffering from the difficulties pointing out that there were also more people from the Somali region in Ethiopian displacing to many places in the region.

Sheik Hassab reiterated that all the aid agencies were required to start a quick step to help and he people dying for the famine, starvation and hit the droughts in central Somalia

It is the first time that an official member of Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a calls aid agenesis to support the people as there had been more people affected the droughts died due to the problems in south and central Somalia recently.
