President Geele of Djibouti officially accepts credentials

The President of Djibouti H.E Ishmael Omar Geele has Sunday warmly accepted credentials from the new Somali ambassador to Djibouti Mr. Abdurrahman Abdi Hussein (Guulwade).

The new ambassador speaking to Somaliweyn website has verified that President Ishmael has endorsed his appointment in the country and as well accepted his credentials as the new ambassador of Somalia in Djibouti.

“The President of our sister country his Excellency Ishmael Omar Geele has accepted my credentials as the new Somali ambassador to Djibouti, and I would like to thank the President for the acceptance and I hereby pledge that I will carryout my assigned duties in the most appropriate manner, with no slight cheating and bias” said Mr. Guulwade the new Somali ambassador to Djibouti.

The new ambassador has as added that he has requested the government of Djibouti to refurbish the Somali embassy in Djibouti, since it was not renovated for couple years.

“After my approval as the new ambassador to Djibouti i requested the Somali embassy to be refurbished by the government of Djibouti and the President of Djibouti Honourable Geele has also accepted to do this refurbishment.

Djibouti is among the African countries which have assisted Somalia in several ways after the collapse of the last regime in Somalia in 1991; it has hosted number of reconciliation meetings.
