Did you read the bible?

I have, not all. There are 66 books of it. So, is it really surprising that a text that large, written by men will contain contradictions? No.

That's the whole point. It's a text written by men who lived waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay after the ascension of Jesus (as). The other half (old testament) was tampered with.

what do you mean the OT was tampered with?

Yes, the NT was written after the death of Jesus. Jesus's prophecy lasted only for 3 years. And the ppl who wrote it were real admirers of Jesus (Like Paul) and they tried to paint the best picture of jesus and his message. That is what the NT is so much better then the old OT and in my opinion the Quran too. Love thy enemy, turn the other cheek, the kindness of jesus are far suprior to anything any the quran.

I have not come across a single verse in the quran prohibiting killing without attaching some condition. If someone does, please let me know.

Too bad mahammed though jesus wrote the NT, that is why he called the Injeel Laughing Laughing Laughing

You dumbass. The OT was tampered by the jews who clearly deleted what they didn't like and added what suited them.

Jesus's message is reflected and repeated in teh Qur'an. Just because you choose to ignore it doesn't mean it's not there. And Prophet Muhammad (scw) never called the Bible just Injeel. Injeel is the Gospel or NT, while the OT is called Tuarat or Torah.

If the Prophet (scw) thought Jesus(as) wrote it then what's the point of the Qur'an. Are you forgetting the Council of Nicea on 325 C.E ? The Qur'an not only comes with new messages but also corrects and confirms old messages sent by Allah.

Assalamu Alaikum,

JazakumAllahu kairan for sharing sis, the sad thing is the majority of christians don't realise this!

Just on friday there was a debate in my biology class, there is this "devouted" christian girl in my class and the debate was based on the trinity thing (how god is in three forms...etc)...I swear, the things she was saying hardly made sense, she was defending something that does not even seem realistic Rolling Eyes

Oh, and she was struggling with the answers as well Laughing poor thing

Anyways, May Allah (SWT) guide them to the right path (Ameen)

Salam

1+1+1 = 1 is technically right in boolean geometry. Razz becuz '+' sign is not mathematical operation. I bet you didn't know that Laughing

you are hypocritical if you think Christianity is any more absurd, nonsensical then Islam. All three abrahamic faiths are equally absurd and stupid.

For all of you ignorant, uneducted bastards out there (and there are many). The Bible is not the Christian equivelent of the Qur'an. And any honest biblical scholar (and there are few) will tell you the Bible is not divinely, but perhaps divinely inspired. It is clearly an historical account (or rather a collection of historical accounts), not the word of God. And much of what was reported is also obviously second hand.

The Qur'an, on the other hand, all essentially comes from one man - Mohammed. Much of what is in it he obviously took from the Torah and Biblical references. But essentially it's the dictates of one man. Hence more consistency. But even in the Qur'an we see inconsistencies. We see references to treat non-believers, for example, fairly and kindly, and then references to kill them. We see repeated references that God is just, and references that God is merciful (those two qualities are incompatible). The Qur'an itself wasn't written until after the death of Mohammed and there were a number of different versions, most of which were deliberately destroyed at the end of the "rightly guided" period. There do, however, exist some very old Qur'ans which differ slightly from the modern accepted version.

Do these make you feel good? Do you think they somehow improve the legitimacy of Islam?

Marx was right when he said "religion is the opiate of the people". It is the only thing he was right about, but at least he nailed that one.
