Locked threads are like..

Post by BlackVelvet »

amputated limbs.

The best part of being a member of a forum is posting replies. If it's locked why not just delete it? When you're having a debate or argument with someone and the thread gets locked it proper takes the piss. It's like a trophy of someone unfairly having the last word.

ps Hyper you were bullied into that. If someone posts a thread for them to turn around and say, actually I changed my mind delete it now, is ridiculous. That's a lesson is life, you can't undo things after you do them - you have to live with the consequences

yeah but black velvet, normally I'd agree with this sentiment, but this person isn't just another annoying poster having a tantrum, they're vulnerable, suffering from depression from the looks of it and going through emotional upheaval. Moderators should cut them slack, instead the last few posts by this mod was cruel, callous and petty. Now the thread is locked, she cant defend herself, and everything is still out there, this isnt fair.

I don't like defending strangers on the internet because thats sad and gay, but this is one of those exceptions.

The point is, nothing he said was untrue. He put in words exactly what needed to be said and I completely agree with him.

A lot of people come on here and are depressed and going through stuff in their personal lives, it does not give anyone the right to slander. Emotional blackmail is gay and I have not an iota of sympathy for someone who results to such tactics.

Have you ever considered volunteering for the Samaritans? :|

Anyway, tough love and telling it how it is is usually the best way to go, but sometimes you have to be empathetic.

wrong and you assuming things. im far being wise or that what i think of my self.

if you mean my reply to voltage, he is like a brother to me and i had need to explain to him in private that has nothing to do with others.

if i learned anything from that topic is i was wrong to involve myself something i shouldnt.

it's for me more than for sister ka darag to remind myself once you say something you cannot take it back , so i need to think before i open my mouth or type in this case.

 I did actually, but the thought depressed me, so I went collecting money instead.

Promote positive behaviour if you want to help - that is a healthy way forward. Otherwise you're just wasting time trying to come across as a kind person.
