Midhisho is a beautiful farming district located in North East of Erigavo (the capital of Sanaag region - Somaliland. It is the ancestral land of Muj.Yusuf Talaabo, Muj.Haji Ismail Nuur. It is known for its abundance of water and frankincense as well as fertile land. It is also the first place in the Horn of Africa that the British Empire sent its war planes from a location just north of El Afweyne and Garadag to bombard the army of Sayid Mohamed Abdulla Hassan in the 1920s.

Sanaag and all Northern regions of Somalia was the HQ of Darood, as Darood were to big they had to hunt for more land, some went all they way south to Gedo/Jubooyinka, whilst others stayed in the middle Galgaduud/Mudug, whilst others stayed upper Nugaal/Bari whilst others stayed in the same place Sool/Sanaag. Iam sure you can work out which sub-clan of Darood went were. Anyways learn the Somali history. Oh yeah others even reached NFD oh wat can I say Allah made me Laandheere Alhamdulilah its a blessing indeed. Anyways have fun in Waqooyi Galbeed and Tiny Tooghdeer.
