Somalia cancels troop-training project

Post by SahanGalbeed »

MOGADISHU, Somalia -- Somalia's government decided on Thursday to cancel an agreement with a private security company linked to the founder of Blackwater Worldwide to train Somali forces to go after pirates and insurgents, a senior official said.
 :D
On Jan. 21, a day after the AP report appeared, U.S. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told reporters in Washington that the United States was "concerned about the lack of transparency regarding Saracen's funding, its objectives and its scope."

Look here people , maxaan idin laha maalintii dhaweed .
Washington post 's article
Lafras Luitingh, the chief operating officer of Beirut-registered Saracen International, did not immediately return phone calls or text messages from AP seeking comment.
Lafras Luitingh
wikipedia
The CCB operated as a civilian entity, so it had a chairman of the board and a group of 'directors'. The GOC Special Forces – Major General Joep Joubert (1985–89) followed by Major General Eddie Webb from the beginning of 1989 - was the chairman. The rest of the board included Joe Verster (managing director), Dawid Fourie (deputy MD), WJ Basson, Theuns Kruger, and Lafras Luitingh.
Now what is the CCB ?
The South African Civil Cooperation Bureau (CCB) was a government-sponsored hit squad[1] during the apartheid era that operated under the authority of Defence Minister General Magnus Malan. The Truth and Reconciliation Committee pronounced the CCB guilty of numerous killings, and suspected more killings.

Good research, as i earlier pointed out in another thread. The saracen is nothing but South african aparthed era mercenaries. They are getting money this way and that probably explains why they are not based in South africa, but rather Uganda and Dubai.

The flip flop president and his prime minister should also fire the African troops hired for their security since to date they continue to indiscriminately shell neighborhoods in Mugadisho. I'm sure the civilians they have so far manage to kill number more then those Blackater and all private security contractors combined have managed to harm.

Somalis and there negative comments. Blackwater were supposed to come when Cumar Buur signed deal with them but alhamdulilah the current PM ended the stupid deal Cumar Buur did, if Blackwater came to Xamar, it would had been an end to humanity in Xamar, massacre and bloodshed.

They did the right thing

They did it just for the US/UN pressure. Obama himself said he didn't like it. Whoever pays your salary owns you and these guys in Mogadishu cannot anger their employer. It is not like they sat and made their decision independently.

On one hand you're saying " they did the right thing " , on the other you're taking a shot at the somali gov .
Which one is it ?
Is this decision good or bad ?
Damn these waryas , can't never get a straight answer with 'em !

Let me explain why , if I may .
What is the difference between a wife and a prostitute , my brother ?
One is halal the other haram , right ?
What determines the difference ?
Their accordance with the Laws of God , ya feel me ?
AMISOM is operating under the authority of international Laws as it is mandated by both the UN and the AU .
The parallel you're trying to make here is invalid .
