HOSNI MUBAARAK SAID MANY TIMES, I AM NOT THAT EASY, BECAUSE HE CONTROLS THE ARMY VERY CLOSELY. THE GUY IS NOT LIKE THE TUNISIAN LADY ALI. WHO JUST LEFT? THIS GUY HE HAS ATLEAST 200, 000 ALLEGIENCE TO HIM.

The President of Tunis controlled the army too.

Every dictator has always controlled the army, but the army isn't immune to popular overthrow of a dictatorship.

A dictator calling in the army is a big gamble. An enormous gamble in fact. If the army is called in and then refuses to kill their own people, they will turn on the government that ordered them to do that.
