He tells her she must get a job before he marrys her!

hi guys, i've this 'friend' who told his 'fience'' that she MUST get a job before he marrys her and therefore has postponed the wedding.
The girl is pissed and they are in a a situation in which neither can take any further worthwhile action.
What advice would you give them?

Interesting.. I've heard of many guys telling females to leave their jobs not to get one..

But why does he want her to get a job?

More importantly does he have a job himself?

Is she willing to work? Too many girls want to become housewives these days

Everyone should be occupied with something, work, studies, etc. If you don't have a child what are you going to do all day?

damnnn this is the exact reason why he is demanding her to have a job . Though he has a good job and is able to take care of her financially, he says it isnt about the money.
But in my opinion I think he is just NOT ready to take this big step called marriage, and is making excuses and buy himself sometime.

Household duties should be agreed between the couples.

If the fella is 'demanding' the female gets a job and yet he expects her to do all or majority of the chores and cater to him.. Marka what the hell is the point of getting married..

If you work and your husband works, both come home at the same time I sure you can demand him to do the half of the chores. Its your right to make such demands.
