Allah encourages the believers to show enmity to the idolators and to dissociate from them, affirming that they do not deserve to enjoy a covenant of peace, because of their Shirk in Allah and disbelief in Allah's Messenger.
If these disbelievers have a chance to defeat Muslims, they will cause great mischief, leave nothing unharmed, disregard the ties of kinship and the sanctity of their vows.

They have purchased with the Ayat of Allah a little gain, and they hindered men from His way; evil indeed is that which they used to do.) (10. With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors.) (11. But if they repent, perform the Salah and give the Zakah, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat in detail for a people who know.) Allah admonishes the idolators and encourages the believers to fight against them.

What your arabselicking weysogabness dont know is that Muhammed was an idol worshippers and he ALLOWED the worship of idols well into his reign. Allah was an idol as proven by the fact that Muhammed's own father was called Abdullah(slave of Allah). Nothing in human history comes out of vacuum and Isalm is no different. muhammed preserved most of what he inherited: the Gods(Allah and Rabb were his choices because they were his family's favourite Gods) the temples(the Ka'abah is afterall a pagan temple) and the practises like Hajj and Tawaf and the throwing of stones at stones and the sacrifices. He preserved all essential parts of his culture from his national dress code(Hijab is 5,000 years old and was introducced by teh prdecessor of a Zoroastrain god you dumb nigga and now you believe its somehow Alalh's will) to eating monitor lizards and pigeons which he said halal.

When he invaded Mecca he said " Worship your faith I will worship mine". who do you think he was addressing? Christians? Jews? Idolators? You guessed it was addressing thelast group because Mecca did not have any Chrisian or Jewish populations to speak of. So Muhammed accepted and ALLOWED the worship of idols; indeed he chose one as his own God.

But how could a brain designed to guide a camel through a sand dune understand the complexities and realities of a different society in a different epoch with completely different social norms and values.

Mohammed didn't add any daily muslim ritual that wasn't practiced by his idol arab kinsmen. In fact the five pillars of Islam with exception of shahada are pagan rituals. The arabs prayed several times a day facing the Kabah, where all the idols, 360 of them, were stored. They did performed abolution before prayers and made pilgrimage. Fasted.
