Somali Peace Conference Being Held In London Right Now....

The conference "Building Stability, Accepting Reality" brings together representatives of the Somali authorities, the UN Security Council members, the European Union, Japan, the African Union and the Arab League to discuss how to assist Somalia at the end of the transitional period.

The period of the Transitional Federal Institutions of the Transitional Government and Transitional Parliament ends on 20 August.

Puntland isn't great, but in Somalia today there is no other option. There is no alternative to Puntland. If Somalia can be saved, it is only through Puntland's vision iyo leadership. With real outside help I sincerely believe Puntland can and will once again change the political landscape of Somalia for the better of all Somalis. The conference is named "Building Stability, Accepting Reality". And the reality is Al Shabaab is in full control in South Somalia, the other reality is the current leadership of the TFG is beyond useless with no real strength on the ground. This simply can not continue.
