Is Cheetah a Somali word?

I heard the word "Cheetah" was adopted from the Somali word "Jiite", which means one who drags his kill. like "wuu jiitaa hilibka".

It is called "Harimacad" not Hadhimacad

and this is not the case of "Adhi" and "Ari"...dialect...

I saw leopard (Shabeel in Somali) when I visited backhome in 2010. He was on a mountain.

I also saw Garanuug on my recent visit to Somalia.

I thought it was Harmacad, where did the 'i"come from?

and what does harmacad mean anyway? I prefer "shabeel" which is much easier.
