I heard the word "Cheetah" was adopted from the Somali word "Jiite", which means one who drags his kill. like "wuu jiitaa hilibka".

A Cheetah is called Hadhimacad in Somali

It is called "Harimacad" not Hadhimacad

and this is not the case of "Adhi" and "Ari"...dialect...

and what does harmacad mean anyway? I prefer "shabeel" which is much easier.

There is no name in the Somali language for tiger,because there are no tigers in dhulka Somalida
