'Patience in all conditions'
Ibn 'Abbas reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said to Ashajj of 'Abd al- Qays: "Trully you have two qualities that Allah prizes: forbearance and perseverance."
Mazyadah al-'Abdi told this tale:
Al-Ashajj came walking, took the hand of the Prophet (PBUH) and kissed it. The Prophet (PBUH) said to him: "You have two qualities that are cherished by Allah and His Prophet." Ashajj asked: "Are they natural attributes with which I was born or manners I have aquired?" The Prophet replied: "They are natural attributes with which you were born." Ashajj said: "Praise be to Allah Who created me with qualities prized by Allah and His Messenger."
