a prominent Somali professor was asked to describe the situation in Somalia by BBCSOMALI. what he said was not completing shocking to me but rather solidified my pessimistic view of Somalia. he began by saying "Soomaali wey dabar go'dey" and he continued to lay down some ugly facts about Somalia's history. when asked what can be done about the situation in Somalia or what he would say/suggest for those who are trying to find solution to the crisis, he said "forget about Somalia and don't waste your time."

so my question is: what is your view about Somalia? are you optimistic or pessimistic about the situation in our homeland?
