Your logic is laughable . Whether a city is populated by a single or multiple subclans does not indicate/ reflect the possible population of those subclans. Rather, it reflects the ability of certain sub-clans to be able to live together and for that locality to sustain those populations.

Hargeisa alone is larger than than Boosaaso, Garowe, Galkacayo, Gardho, Las Anod and Kismaayo put together (see google maps if you like).

Let alone other cities like Burco, Berbera, Erigavo, Gabiley, Oodweyne, Caynaba, in addition to other towns & villages.

As for your langaab comment, if one looks at the below chart from the CIA factbook, it is evident that after Hawiye, Isaaq is the largest clan with 22%. I don't think the CIA has any interest in making a particular Somali clan look bigger than they actually are or bigger than another clan.

If you inhabit a large land area, that does not make you large in number; one has to consider the population density. With 20, 22 and 25% there is not much between the clans.
