I dont blame somali boys for the problem of the west. I think Western world and testestorone dont go well. In order to be successesful in the West, you have to either have zero testo or some testo. There is no room for boys to be boys here in the west. You get wild and in trouble as boys do, you get a criminal record. You get a criminal record and you are screwed. Girls do better because society judges them if they attempt to go wild. And also, they dont have criminal records. You will see a capital love somali girl, having a fabulous life in the suburbs, with a good day job, but the same love's brother is in prison. Its sad. Thats why fathers who father children have to be there for their sons--or else--welcome to adoon culture.

Great guy wallahi, He always used to come to my high school and take part in our events. I agree with 100% of his input specially about the many "somali" community which are qabiil based. In 2000 the former governor appealed to all the somali community centers to merge and he will give them a grant in the millions but they refused and kept their qabiil based ones. There was this lady who walked into one and asked for help, they asked her yaa tahay and proceeded to guide her to her qabiils community center on the other side of the city
. Things are improving slowly though for the ones who took a different route in life cuz drugs never get u rich.

Mine was just a favor. I didn't do a single thing except use the computer for a few minutes two Saturdays. Beats picking up trash at the parkAdvo wrote:Same herebut I actually helped out many times at their events so it was more like a favor for a favor.

And i'm from Washington, but I only moved into Seattle proper a few years ago.
Re: Somali youth Situation in Seattle
I have been helping since 04, pretty cool peeps with much connection. btw I had no idea we live in greater washington, but I have to admit without seattle, state would be quite boring.
Re: Somali youth Situation in Seattle
Yes they're great people who do a lot to help, but somalis will be somalis. Be it helping make up b.s immigration stories, or the time where this one community center I also helped decided to go "lobby" the legislators and packed three buses full of somali ladies+their kids+plus random odayaal and ended up causing havoc in the capital building in Olympia
