Wahab is the name of Allah swt, and better they say khawarij and etc, or the followers of Muhammed bin Abd al-Wahhab.

Grandpa question becomes is Al-Wahab the same linguistically as wahabbi or wahabiiya? Can you call Allah Al-Wahabbi or Al-Wahabiyya?

We were called wahabis by a guy delivering a dawa because we didn't believe celebrating the prophets birthday was right. In addition, he made a distinction between a 'good' innovation and a 'bad' innovation.
