Re: Alcoholic drinks market booming in Muslim Gulf
Why is this an issue or even a surprise?
We are muslims and have been killing each other for the past 20 yrs.
We are muslims and commit all kinds of crimes, fraud etc.
Maybe it is time to focus on substance. Less focus on memorazing the Quran and more focus on understanding the meaning of the Quran, emphais should be put on understanding what it means when one says Islam is a way of Life"
No one can enforce another to take the way, but one can influence one to take the right path/way.
Symbolism means nothing if there is no substance.

Phuck Off!!! Everything Is Not About Phucking SomaliaArcherr wrote:I did not think that would work on people. Little did I know. Where do the TFG members in Mogadishu get their alcohol from horta? I remember Qeybdid once saying that there was a widely popular locally brewed alcoholic beverage in Xamar called Alaq. Is it still brewed there?the Dutch firm Heineken NV (HEIN.AS) says sponsorship of European football has raised its profile in the Gulf.

They used to be a qamri breweries in Xamar before the ICU took over. They were destroyed by the ICU. Not sure if they have one around now.
Across Somalia this is the Alcohol that gets smuggled in a lot. Ethiopian Dry Gin with a very high Alcohol level.
