Why does Ethiopia hate Somaliland?

Aside from Emperior's retarded explanation that Ethiopia fears an independent Somaliland what do you guys really believe is the reason that Ethiopia is holding back on recognizing Somaliland for almost 2 decades now? What does it stand to lose on recognizing Somaliland? Does it have anything to do with Berbera port since Ethiopia is landlocked?

Ethiopia is Somalia's number1 enemy and as such recognizing Somaliland would be awckward for them as it will be seen as opportunisim on their part. is that what you wanted to hear?

LOL@Is that what you wanted to hear. Yes but only if it is what you truly believe. Just wanted to get an idea of what Somalilanders think of Ethiopia refusing to officially recognize Somaliland although it became Somaliland's biggest - and probably only - trading partner over the years.

In God's time , recognition will come in God's time , we have for now a good relation with Ethiopia and I do not think they "hate" Somaliland
