Both the man and the woman make their families more Important to them than the marriage. Each one of them has other " love ones" to consider than the marriage.

I don't know what other Muslims you have seen, but Somalis seem to be among the most free from family influence in marriage. All the Pakistani I know are having arranged marriages which they have no say in.
