The British or colonials had both negative and positive effect on Somalis. This above clip is just a historical fact, whether one interprets it negative or positive is individual choice. I for one think that this battalion could have been positive in that we could have learnt from the British who were at the time leaders in military warfare. Imagine had we excelled in learning from the British we would today be occupying Ethiopia and not the other way round.

Even though im ashamed, its not something to deny that even the leader of the darawish was opposed by Isaaq loyal to british basterds.

I even read 2 swedish books based on the darawish and the struggle against Ethiopia and UK.
