wearing a tie

Post by ibrahimcw »

do you wear it when your going some place formal ? i dont like wearing a tie never did, always took the T-shirt option in school. i think its because when i was a kid i was told a tie is a religious christian attire, just like the Islamic pants-above-ankles.

but now i think its become normal not to wear a tie, infact its kool, do you agree ?

The tie is the best part of the suit, and I wear it for all things formal. Its inappropriate to not wear one at a formal setting

the tie is becoming unpopular wouldn't you agree ? i personally thank God for that, having something tied around your neck is not nice, i can never get used to that, i guess people just feel different about it.

FYI: suit without tie is the best, it takes away the restrictive uniform feel, and makes it more relaxed and personal. 8-)

Attended my last review without a tie and the underlying feedback i got was i am too relaxed. I won't make that mistake again, those who are wearing ties from sunrise to sunset view the tie as complusary items that signify their working day. They take it off when they reach home and raise their feet in front of the TV at the end of their working day. Attending a formal meeting without a component of your working day is as bad as putting your feet on the desk of a Director.

idk about these celebs and stuff, but I would never go to a formal event without a tie, and I think its unprofessional to do so.

The tie came into fashion when the french kings Croatian mercenaries came to paris, they liked to wear colourfull cloths around their necks,
the parisians lked the idea and started wearing a la corvate ... and it spread from there..

nothing christian about it..

I think the idea that it is wrong to wear it came from the Iranian revolution, when they all stopped wearing the tie....
Now some of you may ask , if the iranians are against western fashion, why are they wearing suits with jackets?
why are they wearing pants?

The answer is that they are both Iranian inventions, the Jacket and matching pants were introduced into the paris fashion scene by persian visitors,
