Mogadishu Flights Packed, Hargeisa Empty

Its amazing how every freaking seat is filled when flying to and from Mogadishu to Nairobi while the flights from Galkacyo and Hargeisa to Nairobi are empty. There tend to be more Cadaans on the MGQ flights than on the Hargeisa ones.

The worst experience is landing at Wajir to do security checks when flying from Mogadishu (all flights from Somalia must stop in the occupied Wajir airport where Somalis are humiliated and again at Nairobi Airport). Imagine that it takes 2 hours to clear a flight from Xamar while only 30 minutes for Hargeisa/Galkayo flights.

However, no airport can come close to Mogadishu International Airport in terms of comfort. One of the good things the ICU did was revamp and reopen MGQ. With the new recent upgrades, I hope that all MGQ flights don't need to land in Wajir and can proceed to Nairobi directly.

Who the fock flies from Nairobi to Hargeisa anyway or versa. Why not compare it to the flights from carabta or Europe?

Cali Gaab,

People who have business in Nairobi, the financial/NGo capital of Somalia/land. The only some what decent planes that are not death traps are based in Nairobi.

There's a reason why flights to Moqdishu from Nairobi are packed because half of the population from the South and Mogadishu, including members of the TFG reside in Nairobi

Abdiwahab, most people in Hargaisa go to Addis Ababa and most of them take those buses that go from Wajaale to Addis Ababa.

A lot of people go from dubai to berbera or dubai to djibouti then onwards to hargeisa via plane (or a car if you have djiboutian citizenship)

Because the ones going to mogadisho are, the 550 mps... lool who else in their right mind would go to mogadisho.

Anyway are the planes from puntland and hargeysa not subjected to wajir security checks.
