Sacadadiin Island - Somaliland

Why don't Somalilanders invest in this place and make it a holiday resort? it's one of the few islands we have in sland.

I know it's a tiny island. But beautiful.

Location: Proximately 7.5km north west of the coast of Seylac.

The reason is very simple, Its costly. Its going to take the whole somaliland budget if not more to build a resorts and the infrastructure to make it a holiday destination.

Nah mate. It will just take some rich Somaliland business men's to start building hotels(where tourists can stay when they visit the island), villas, shops, supermakets etc (the beaches of Sacadadiin are already naturally clean). However yes infrastructure of course will be costly much like it is in other parts of sland.

sicid i remember reading a topic while back where emperior mentioned that this island was bought by some abdalla sacad guy from djibouti, i dont remember how much though, see if u can dig up that topic.

Keyse i remember that topic aswell (he did not actually buy it he wanted to bought it his name is Ina Maxamed Aw Siciid). Dahabshiil also wanted to bought the Island last year however things didn't go according to the plan.


Interestingly enough there is another smaller Island called "Ceebaad Island ama Jasiirada Ceebaad" 4.8km north west of Sacadadiin Island. No pictures of it so far though.

I wouldnt mind taking a trip there and spending sometime away from these fuking qurbaha. I would definitely say a miss opportunity on sland part.

the maxamaed casse will not allow any sort of development in these islands by whomever.. the reason is that they are preserving an environment rich of natural life and sustaining some of the very rare plants that grows there. u can build hotels and malls in any part of the country but not in sacadiin. last thing they want see is this green landscape turning into deserted shithole.

it is a good dream to promote tourism there but there have to be other priorities such as education, clean water, health, jobs for the youth particularly those who graduate from universities in Somaliland...
the other thing is that there is a security problem. remember last year during Ogass Mustafa's crowning ceremony, Sland Security men failed to keep security... they started shooting bullets over guests as if they were in a war zone.

War kaneeco baa abaaha kugu wasaysa meesha . Markey baddu caariido , you can almost walk up to the island , nothing special about it . I am with those who said , it should be left as it is .
