Oromos are divided as Somalis; the only difference is the Hasbesha’s are keeping them on lock. Oromos do have tribes and are also divided on religious. Also unlike Somalis, they don't show their difference in public while Somalis do. A lot of the Christian Oromos are pro-Hasbesha. Honestly, it’s pathetic that the biggest tribe in East Africa is one of the weakest tribe. They should be controlling the Horn with an Iron fist yet they are laughing stock of East Africa, no one takes them serious,

Obviously you don't know what you are talking about. Oromo are the most divided tribe in East Africa. A wallega or wallo Oromo is basically an Amhaar and an Arsi Oromo is basically a Somali. Oromos are in equal thirds divided into Muslim, Christian, and pagan. Their tribal system is tribal, not merely clan like ours and they have different cultures, ways of dress, ways of life, and even languages. You can never compare that to Somalis who are singularly Muslim, singularly have one culture, have one language (although with different accents with exception to Af-Maay which is different dialect), etc. Somalis are divided because of kibir and ignorance, Oromos are divided because a Muslim Oromo has nothing in common with and has no sense of relatedness to Oromo Christian or Oromo pagan.

Now you live in Minneapolis and most Oromo there are either Oromos from Hararghee or Arsi, meaning they are 100% Muslim, most likely support Oromia as a nation, and view themselves in desperate terms as a singular unit and will overlook or conquer differences brought about by small disagreements which could have huge ramifications for the homogeneous Somalis.

I personally wish there was a way to incorporate Arsi and Hararghee Oromo, and other Muslim Oromo into Somalia to diversify our nation.

Believe it or not guys but Oromos will rule Ethiopia in the near future. Dhaqaallaha Ethiopia iyagaa hada xukuma from what I have noticed. As for them being united anigu ma aaminsani. Many of them will get offended if you call them Oromo and prefer to be called Ethiopian as if there is something wrong with calling them what they are.

Oromos are not a real ethnic group but a bunch of people put together.

Some Oromos are actually Somalis, some Oromos are actually Habesha, some Oromos are actually Nilotic etc.

Those are the Christian Oromo particularly from Wallega or Showa or Wallo Oromiya districts. The Muslim Oromos would much rather be labeled with Somalis or being grouped with Somalis if not their own sense of independent Oromoness.

Oromo is one,

We all descend from Horoo our father!
Sure we incorporated some outkast, exotic somalis, bantus and nilotics, apart from that we are one nation.
Oromo is a nation not a clan conglommerate!

Somalis are not, by their own account, as homogenous as they seem to be.
The respected and much celebrated member of this forum, mr Voltage descends from a yamani sheekh, whereas other no less respected and celebrated members of this glorious forum descend from Iraqi sheekh.
For those of us who knows the animosity between yamanis an iraaqiis (real ones), the homogeneity of somali nation is nil!

Only the bantus and the exotic Tuni/boonn cluster can be homogeneous.

You don't make sense, I am sorry. Also you either think we Somalis are ignorant on East African matters or you are living under your own delusions. Some of my best friends are Oromo. I don't need to know what is going on there when multiple real life sources of that background concur with each other.

Also, I wouldn't call myself the most respected or celebrated here and to be honest coming historically from Yemen or Indonesia or Chile doesn't mean anything to me. Even if the folktale is true (even if), he married into a Cushitic Dir woman, whose offspring in turn married into Cushitic Dir peoples and there is no claim for any Somali today to say they are not full 100% Somali or their origance is not from such if it is by basis of clan ancestry.

Oromos are more divided when it comes to communities..maybe worse then Somali's but not sure. They enslaved by Habasha's and being dominated by a couple million of amhara's and tigray for years.
