Welfare stories..Do you have any??
A few years ago this dude invited his case worker to his wedding, and probably thought it was an ilbax thing to do, anyhow you know how Somalis tend to go over board with weddings and stuff, the case worker was horrified by the amount of dahab the bride was wearing and everything else that was going down, mind you the wedding was held at a hotel
the next morning she invited him to come over to her office and informed him that his file is terminated and said to him "orood oo so biilo your wife's dahab, and come back to me when it's all done" what an idiot.

No joke, things have gotten serious. Marka, since the majority of you are SOMALIS, please pass this message to the others. I don't care if the forum is read.
PLEASE, please Telefoonka, haa ku sheegiina waxad samaysiin!!!!! Sorry for my Somali! It is never private, what part of that do you lot not get? Specially hada ceyr qadatiin. Some people have been busted through that way. Ayaako guri kaa so gaatan carabaha, xoolonimadoodna (wow, what a long word, soon I'll be the Sri lankans) waxay qataan ceyr. I'm not even going to start on the issue of how immoral and disgraceful that is, and haraam, but I just want to warn the Xalimos that have children and how their kids lives can be damaged through their greed and recklessness.

Re: Welfare stories..Do you have any??
some Somali stories are more stranger than fiction, like the woman who refused to shake the hand of a case worker.
the male case worker asked the Somali lady why she shouldn't shake his hand. she said "it is against my religion." it is true and she's right but his next question caught her of guard. he then said "you are allowed to have a boyfriend and out-of-wedlock kids but not to shake hands with non-related males? apparently the lady was collecting welfare under "separate" and was bearing children. when asked who fathered the children, she would always say my "boyfriend".
the guy was stunned!
but she didn't know what to say and didn't bother to answer his question.
our lies don't even make sense anymore.
