dress is nothing, as long you dress decent and modest.

in arabia before islam, rich people used to drag their dress to show they are rich and differ from poor people who dont have enough money to long their dress or drag it. it was sign of arrogant.

now no one cares that and people show how rich/wealth and oragant they're by driving expensive cars and expensive houses etc.

From what I understand and have been told by imams its ok to have long trousers as long as it is not out of arrogance. I didn't used to understand why it was arrogant to hang them below the ankles but i was told by an imam that in the prophets time (pbuh) the rich men would wear long trousers out of arrogance cause they could afford to keep buying new pants when the ones they were wearing got ruined at the bottom. Nowadays I would think most men wear their pants long simply because this is the way they are made in the west

its interesting to note that in the past many of the great scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah did not consider it haraam.
Sh Ibn Taymiyyah for example viewed it as Makrooh, but not Haraam.

I dont, its wahabi bidcah meaning they made it a compulsory part of the religion. While the true reason behind this was due to arrogant ppl/proud ppl. Alhamdulilah iam not arrogant nor proud african somali.
