The only people who are unable to speak Somali are of course the Europeans, Arabs, and some non-urban/tribal Afars...but most people (~60-70%) speak Somali.

The yemenis act like they don't speak somali , I am talking about the guy who owns the little grocery store on the corner , laakin we would talk to them in somali , they would answer in their fucked up arabic slang  ..markaasaynu ku nidha " Asmac ya beythani , af somaliga waad taqaan e maxaad isla yeelyeelaysa ?" The ones who went to school speak arabic , somali and french .
About the Afars , if he ain't a new comer they generally do speak somali .
