To cut long story short the somali ladies were being so rude and not listening chatting here and there. The poor host tried to calm them down and speaking to them nicely even though they don’t deserve it but no would they listen? Along comes the cadaan girl couple of years older then me and she is like ‘everyone be quick’ yes you guessed it the whole room fall silent. Me and my friends looked each other like what the hell just happened?

So they give respect to this young girl just because she is cadaan and no respect to her employer who is their age and Somali? I realised that we Somalis hard to admit but to us cadaan equals authority no matter their position or age. Uff walahi I felt sorry for the host. She had more right to be listened to one because she was the damn host and the employer and two she is a Somali like them.
Yes we talk about cadaans in a low manner within ourselves but deep down we are insecure just like most other races who are not white. And I thought having this beautiful deen will make us pride and hold are head high and of course being Somali

This is not an attack on white people I work with them and get along with them but rather the way Somalis view them like they are superior or something.
Uff calayk
Anyone else found themselves in a similar situation or has noticed this weird and insecure relationship?
