Salam alaikum somali brothers/sisters i need help please
This is why I signed onto Somalinet, I need real help.
I am suffering from shock due to an incident that happened to me two weeks ago. I haven't recovered as of yet, but the more I think about it the more I feel inclined to take medication. I teach young children Qur'an in my local mosque and the whole episode has made me very edgy, unpredictable and quite despondent. I noticed I have become quite violent as I randomly hit any student that doesn't read his Qur'an properly, even is he has a sound excuse. I even called one of the students 'fatso' for annoying the Asr Prayer congregation. I've been teaching for 9 months and never was prone to abusing a child but now it's all too normal. Even the other teachers feel some sort of confidence when they see my unrelenting abusive behaviour towards the children and they have started using my tactics.
I have decided to resign, but my worry is my condition.
I heard that anti depressants make you worse off, please advise me. I never needed help before as I was arrogant but today, I ask for your HELP and assistance.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raaji'uun.

You don't need medication for this, if you deem it appropriate to punish those kids just pinch their ears rather than hitting them.
Re: Salam alaikum somali brothers/sisters i need help please
Asalaamu Calleykum wr wb Brother.
There is nothing called Depression in Islam. Don't take Medication. It would put you in a lot of danger. All you do, is Pray harder for allah to heal your heart. Read the Qur'an more and more. Remember, this whole dunya is nothing. Ina mal xayaata dunyaa mataac. Even if your whole family dies, this whole dunya is nothing but lahwun or jokes. Don't take it serious. Remember Ina macal cusri Yusra. Allah Knows better.

May be it is something to do where and how you grew up and I would not be surprised if your own Quranic teacher has done to you the same as it happened to me in Somalia where teachers has a manopoly to beat up their students as it happened to me both to Quran and normal school I remember oance it was in Kismayo and my Quran teacher started hitting me with his stick it was so painful I run to outside and thrown stones at the place and oance a school teacher put me in a room and kicked me like a football litteraly and he was a professional football player I still remember it,so be kind to young childreen and treat them nicely and kindly human beings and remember as We seen in the west violence has no place.

Pinching their ears doesn't give me any satisfaction. I need to hear screams and see tears. Not because I am cruel but because that's the only way the kids learn.nomadicwarlord wrote:You don't need medication for this, if you deem it appropriate to punish those kids just pinch their ears rather than hitting them.
P.S I only abuse Somali kids but I leave the ajnabis alone.

I have been abused physically and emotionally as a child by Dugsi teachers for many years. I used to purposely run away and go to the Arcades for fear and when my parents found out they used to beat me and call me names.gobdoon wrote:May be it is something to do where and how you grew up and I would not be surprised if your own Quranic teacher has done to you the same as it happened to me in Somalia where teachers has a manopoly to beat up their students as it happened to me both to Quran and normal school I remember oance it was in Kismayo and my Quran teacher started hitting me with his stick it was so painful I run to outside and thrown stones at the place and oance a school teacher put me in a room and kicked me like a football litteraly and he was a professional football player I still remember it,so be kind to young childreen and treat them nicely and kindly human beings and remember as We seen in the west violence has no place.
The irony is that even though I have grown up on the recieving end of violence, it turned me into a sissy.
I remember going to the UAE May 2007 and hanging out at the Lebanese salons.

I haven't had patience since 2 weeks ago, before that I would never lay a finger on them. The good news for me is I have a clean CBR record and I have been approved by the Government as suitable to work with children.
