Re: Gift ideas...
he's being promoted, not graduating.
I'd just get him a box of chocolate. otherwise he'll expect a gift from you every promotion until high school graduation.

Re: Gift ideas...

He is graduating from Islamic school, so it's considered graduating, with the graduation ceremony and everything..

A wonderful collection of eight desert tales from Somalia, featuring a host of princes, creatures and villainous tricksters. gathered on her travels and beautifully told by Laird, these will delight the reader and are ideal for reading aloud. --The Bookseller Buyers Guide

Toys are an easy way to make him smile, but he'll lose interest in a couple months.
"Oh, the places you'll go" - Dr. Seuss. You get this for him, every graduation, and he'll remember you for life. Dr.Seuss is hard to forget, and even harder not to like.

Going with gemini's suggestion, actually teaching him to skate, bike, etc would probably be the best gift, if he doesn't already know how to do these. He'll definitely cherish that.
