I MISS 1998'S MUSIC

Post by CORRUPTION »

What a great year this was, the girls were doing it big first and foremost and everybody was kind of unique:

Da Brat used to be my favourite for some reason although she hadn't released an album in a little while. She was on various songs around that time doing guest features.

Rap music was very diverse, who could forget Lauryn Hill, Busta Rhymes and his weird videos and LL cool J ofcourse, this magazine cover said it all:

ps: remember that Dr Dre & LL Cool J song??

The year Big Pun came out, i was quite young i admit but i just remember my brothers playing his stuff constantly and never understood what the hype was about untill after his death

This guy must have been the biggest thing in the world man,

Never thought his second best at that time would outshine him in every aspect today:

That album had some banging beats, i wasn't that much into lyricism at the time.
If you were under the age of 18 then i'm sure everybody wanted to be like this guy at the time:

i used to go to town and look for shiny clothes and tried to talk slow to the girls thinking it was 'cool'

Can't forget to mention Brandy who other than music had her own show going on.

1998, what a great year. Allow me mumbling guys, i'm going back to youtube and reminisce.
