I remember oldenglish's video where he just said haa and may and now this video the guy can barely speak somali

its cause people like Murax and myself weren't raised in the Somali bubble. He grew up in Virginia and before the 1990s, there were no Somalis there.
And I'm in Maryland, barely any Somalis either.
And I also blame my parents for not being strict with it Especially my dad... the only reason I understand Somali good is cause my mom speaks it to us 70% of the time and obviously 21 years of life, you should be able to understand it if you hear it every single day.

All of our kids who were born here or raised here most of their lives speak good Somali.

I think Somali-Americans are better Somali speakers than the ones in Canada. Even the ones raised around Somalis have trouble speaking it. Growing up in the suburbs didn't do me any justice

west&Helwa, I not mean but the guy doesn't know somali waxa laga garan karaa markuu hablaha yar fahmi waayay they said to him "halkan ka eeg" and he's like "yaa" also his reply to "miyuu waalanyahay" was "haa waan waalanee" or something like that
