FAH is a hopelessly diehard Wizards fan
No matter how many losing seasons they have, he always thinks this year is their year.
The lottery went through Washington the last couple years sxb, that ain't changing anytime soon

Anyway the NBA Players are friggin spoiled Man. Everyone in the world Has Had to tighten their belt, and tighten up spending. Whats the difference between making 18 or 11 million, someone who manages His money at 11 million will be a million times better off than someone who doesn't manage their money at 18. Look at Antioine Walker, nicca went thru 100 million. All these players wanna do is go to vegas, date strippers, etc. and don't wanna have to take less money. Sad thing is nothing will be achieved from the lockout except the players losing more money. These owners are not dependent on the NBA for a source of income, they can lock the players out for the next decade. It is the players who are gonna lose a year out of their careers, millions of dollars for a losing cause because the owners will not budge.

Murax, the thing is, the owners are the ones who wanted this system in the first place...this is the system they locked out the 98-99 season for and now they're saying they wanna revamp it again. The players reluctantly agreed to this system initially in the last lockout, and now they're taking a hard stance in saying enough is enough and they're not gonna agree to a hard cap and even more rollbacks in salary. I dunno about the players needing an NBA season more than the owners...Derron Williams just signed with a Turkish club for this upcoming season and Kobe is considering joining a Euro league too. Throw in a couple other stars following suit, and the owners will realize there's basketball life outside of the NBA.
At the end of the day though, it's all ridiculous since it's billionaires arguing with millionaires about whether there's enough money to go around. I doubt there's gonna be a single game played this season since the sides are so far apart (to the tune of a nearly 7 billion dollar difference of opinion and position which both sides are firmly entrenched in)

Re: THE EAST GOES THRU WASHINGTON
I'll say it again, DC is a big market. It just hasn't had a good basketball team in forever. DC area is one of the most stable economies in the country and it has a ton of basketball fans here. What young black professional WOULDN'T want to live here? Atlanta is the other hotspot and Dwight is from there, but that franchise is going down the toilet FAST
The Skins owned this town forever but now with the Ravens in Baltimore beingperennial playoff contenders and Dan Snyder not getting much out of the Skins in regards to wins, the door is open for Ted Leonsis to bring the Wizards onto the main stage. The DC area loves the Caps now and this was in no way a big hockey town like it is a big basketball town. Back in the day, Georgetown basketball was huge here. And way back in the day, so were the Bullets. Put a professional hard noise product on the court and you will see just how big a market basketball is in this area. You also have to remember this area is BIG in the basketball prospect category with guys in high school and AAUs. Just think of Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay and Carmelo are from B-More, Ty Lawson, Roy Hibbert, Jeff Green, Delonte West, etc are all products of a big basketball area.
This team is ripe to take the main stage if a player like Howard came here. And even if he doesn't, they will do it anyway. They are building the right way this time. Hell, his town started to wake up when they had Gil, CB and AJ. Well, Wall is a long term upgrade to Gil. Nick Young is the best SG that has been here in a long time. And now they have some tough young kids and a D stopper in Singleton. And they have a couple bigs that are young, but knuckleheaded, who will have trade value if they don't work out here.
Too many people have dismissed chances that Howard could end up here because they are looking backward, not forward. Ted is a big fish and he will be a player in the Howard bid. Count on it. For the first time in a long time, I trust the owner's plan and I can see how things will work out. Howard or not, this team is going to be good and this town in going to ROCK over them.
Way I see it. Lockout lasts till next summer. Wizards get rid of Rashard Lewis's $22 million cap figure by buying him out under a new Amnesty clause in the new CBA... Washington will have $25-30 million in cap space... enough to sign Dwight and another moderate level guy. We also will have a high 2012 pick because there won't be a season played, meaning another chance at the #1 pick... and the 2012 draft class looks to be sensational.
