When u saw those starving children, the first thought that popped in ur head was "what did the other people think or do about situation x" and the second one was "there's probably starving child in "puntland" another word for majeerteen that really needs my help". You have no concept of Islaamnimo, Somalinimo etc just a brain that has been taking over by qabyaalad. When I saw those pics of the kids and their mothers in dire strait etc, my first thought was to help, I didn't ask where they were from, what region, what qabiil etc. You need help man. Indeed, the worst natural disaster in 60 years has met man-made violence in Somalia, number one on a global list of failed states. As Somalis people it is our responsibility to help our brothers and sisters who are in need, and no my relatives in northeast Somalia don't fair better then any other Somalis caught up in this mess. Rather you fail to understand my point which is, that the wider Somali community when they think of the drought stricken areas; the northeast doesn't even cross their mind. Logic though would reason, that the largely ignored northeast Somalia do to its environment has always been the first to be affected in any projected drought.

Fact: before this drought even spread to the rest of the country it was the north mainly northeast Somalia that has been struggling for 3 long f-king months till that is the recent forecasted rains gave them some break. It's funny how Somali refugees filling camps like dhadhaab in Kenya and others in southeast Ethiopia all of sudden manage to upgrade the drought forecasted in much of northeast Somalia before it even affected them into "the worst natural disaster in 60 years" just now. Even Somalinet seems to be just waking up.

Again no point in turn such a legit claim into something meant to glorify the very thing I'm trying to pervent here, and that is the life's of the mother and child starving in both north and in particular northeast Somalia are as important to ignore too.

It seems like your only concern is Puntland. Puntland gets more assistance than Al-Shabab controlled areas so stop crying about double standards, its not as if you care about the people in south anyway. Worst drought in 60 years plus a long ongoing conflict = disastrous situation, the least we should do is pray for them insha'allah.
