The problem isn't with foreigners. We have a huge Hmong population, for example. No problems with them at all. Great people. We have significant Mexican, Chinese and Russian populations. No problems. Love to have them here.

It's the Somalis. In all of my years they are the first people I've disliked as a group.

And this idea of Somalis as "hard working" is a fantasy. If you want to see hard-working, spend a day with a Mexican roofing crew. After your hospital recovery you can talk to me about hard work.

clearly somalis are not what you thought they were. They are not the type to bend over for others and are too proud to have someone dictate as to how they should act. many before you tried but failed and am certain many after you will try and get the same results like their predecessors. The fact that somalis are doing generally well unlike immigrant groups who came the U.S over 100 years ago burns you deep down. The fact that they live comfortably and are success story is what's bothering you. somalis are known to dominate the business sectors of every community they move into all over the globe. judgin from your attitude i conclude that you are jelous of the goals somalis have been able to achive in short period of time. who knows, maybe i would have acted the same as you if an immigrant who came to my country achieved every goal i couldn't achieve.

To all the Non Somalis and people not familiar with Somalia; you must understand that their are two somalis. One from the South (Somalia) and the other from the North (Somaliland). A lot of the attitudes the non somalis are referring to seem to be ones that are typical of the people from Somalia. Somaliland is its own seperate country that separated from the rest of Somalia in the early 90's. We have our own government, Army, Police, Healthcare system, and Education System. A lot of somalilanders who come to America live under the radar and blend into American society. If you ask all the Somalis whom you have beef with and ask them where in Somalia you are from, I promise that 99.99% will say Mogadishu which is in the South.

Its not inferiority complex hes just educating that Somalis are not all the same.

The news who cover piracy in the Indian ocean .. that has nothing to do with somalilanders does it? - Should we than nod our head & say we are all the same or... do we voice the fact we have two diff states
