Gunmen Kill Puntland Intelligence Official
Sources in Garowe, the administrative capital of Somalia's semi-autonomous region of Puntland, told Somalia Report that several unknown gunmen armed with pistols killed a member of Puntland’s intelligence counterterrorism (PIS) forces.
The killing occurred in the heart of the Garowe city at 7:15PM local time, according to witnesses and residents.
The assassins managed to escape before Puntland security forces reached the area.
“The troops made house to house searches, but we cannot verify if anyone was arrested," a local journalist who asked to be called Mohamed told Somalia Report.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
The incident comes as the Puntland authorities are in the process of making peace deal with the local militias run by Sheikh Mohamed Said Atam who was accused of having links with Somalia’s terrorist group al-Shabaab.

This is what happens to you if you try to sabotage people's efforts in Mogadisho, the puntland are against peace and progress in South of Somalia now allah is punishing them for them having hate and ill-feeling towards their fellow muslim somalis.

I am torn. I want to say AUN but at the same time PIS is nothing more than Addis Ababa's hand in that Gerowe.

using your logic, allah is and has been punishing the somalis in the south with constant violence for the last 20 years for their barbaric and unislamic behavior. fact is more people die in a day in the south from violence than die in pl annually.
