I can't upload the pictures shown in channel 4 and other western media because of the extant of humiliation.

I can go to any hospital in UK and could take picture of dieing people and children.
But I would be arrested because of breaking decencies law. Data protection act and other laws unbeknown to me at the moment.

So why is Somalis letting other people take pictures of children who might be suffering of some forms of illness?

The level of skeleton children that journalist are rooming mogadisho from breath to length just to take pictures is abysmal.

Somalis should shoot dead journalist that is humiliating our honour!!!!!!!!

Public awareness is important and however much you hate to see those pictures, they are a true and fair reflection of the situation on the ground. Public awareness has led to charities raising a decent amount of funds to help those people. Okay, we all know most of the money is not going to reach people in Somalia and the starving and dying are probably going to starve and die unless God helps them but the media is just doing its job of reporting so that we can do what we can to help.

At the end of the day, it is the fault of every Somali including you and I, that we are in the state we're in. I say accept the humiliation, if you see it as that and learn to overcome it.

This question are not for female or any futoweyne ..

There is no famine in somalia, there is drougth and hence people have shortage of food but not to the extend of parading in TV set.

Alilweyne, good points. But, I think Djsomali has a point. Western Media loves showing how Africans die but not how they live. While showing starving children could result in gathering donations, it could also enhance the already negative image of africans.

It is humiliating and I find it embarrassing when someone points it out to me as a form of conversation. That said the media is just doing its job and thanks to them and their horribly harsh documentation of the horribly harsh situation a lot of money has been raised to help those who need it.
