He was first a very party, women loving boy. He then turned into wadaad. I mean joining halaqa, wearing khamiis. All of us were like Maasha allaah abdullaahi became wadaad this and that. Then he disappeared. I thought he went for vacation or something. I then learnt from the news that he joined alshabaab. I talked to his sisters and cousins but no one knows where he is. he never calls back.

He is one of the 19 Somali American boys oo baxay. I don't know if they decided on any bounty yet. He is not that big of a deal to them. He is not a threat to america. They are trying to find out who send them and recruited them.

The al shabab recruits is full of these kind of unbalanced ppl, former stret thugs. Drop outs and criminals, or highly liberal. It is very few people who had balance in their lives who became part of Al shabab from outside Somalia.

I hope your friend realises his mistakes and comes from that group with his life intact.

Generally speaking, Its fascinating how some people who previously were uber liberal, street thugs and weekend hoes, and then suddenly they turn into wadaad. Its like they had an epiphany overnight or something.

From extreme liberalism to extreme conservatism. :/
