Pure genius! The people of Qaw really want their town to shine, this is unique in all of Somalia today. Insha Allah I'll be in PL in a few years to do this for my home-tuulo Dan Gorayo. With more initiatives like this, famine should be a thing of the past.

Qaw lies on a coastal plateau, it is an excellent location for future agriculture with desalinated water. To the East of Bosaso it gets too rocky/mountainous for agriculture. If managed properly with modern tools the West Bosaso district could make Bosaso self-sufficient in food.

bandar ziyada is another name for Qaw like banadar qassim is for bosaso
and yes the naval base is in qaw!
