Your second picture's title is wrong. The small tower on the studium is the scoreboard unit where they would control scores.
There was a nickname for that area. I can't remember it. Anyone remembers? The cheapest tickets of the studium in terms of seating locations were always to the left of that scoreboard tower because the sunshine would always be on your face.
Image

Also on the opposite side of the studium, there used to be Ceel and Dugisigii Hoose/Dhexe Amiir Nuur. Whatever happened to those? Remember that studium had two entrances; the main one was facing West on the opposite side of Amiir Nuur School. The other entrance was Yaaqshid side by the Studium Hotel. There are also many other buildings within the Studium village; garoonkii kubada koleyga, teniska, dabaasha and so on. Any pictures of those?

What a memory!!! Seeing the real pics of the Studio Muqdisho brings back emotions Walee.....

Thanks for the correction

More pictures will be released when more journalists take the risks of further exploring the city.

The Observer has learnt from well placed army sources that while the UPDF is upbeat about the victory, there is sadness in the army about the 25 soldiers killed on July 29 when the latest offensive began, .
Uganda pays heavily for Mogadishu
